Barda Rash Block

In 2008, KOMET signed a Production Sharing Contract with the Government of Kurdistan Region of Iraq, for the Barda Rash Block (265 sq.km) for a 25 year period, plus extension option. The following works were carried out on the Block: фcquisition of 330 km of 2D seismic lines; successful drilling of BR-1 exploration well to the depth of 3746m; during Lower Jurassic production tests, the well flowed at a rate of 4000 bpd on 18mm choke, 32° API; drilling of 2 appraisal wells and completion of 360 sq.km 3D seismic works;....

Guwayer-Hamdanya Block

On 6 June 2013, KOMET signs with the KRG a new Production sharing Contract for the Guwayer-Hamdanya Block (705 km2), where intensive exploration activities are being currently carried out on the Guwayer structure, which is one of the 4 structures discovered on the Block (Guwayer (D); Hamdanya (A); West Hamdanya (B); Al Khidir (C)). The Exploration Work Program carried out so far on Guwayer structure includes the following: 155 km of 2D seismic lines (completed in January 2014); deepening of Guwayer-2 well down to 4338m. ...
